Van delivery from Leeds
Our Leeds trade counter now runs its own vans. Book a delivery window at checkout and a Halden driver brings the order straight to site, from the counter's shelves, without a courier depot in between.
How it works
- Where: any Leeds postcode, LS1 to LS29. Give a site address and, if it is covered, Halden van from Leeds appears among the delivery options at checkout.
- When: Monday to Friday, in three windows: 7:30 to 10:00, 10:00 to 12:30 and 12:30 to 15:00. Book up to a week ahead. A window closes three hours before it starts, and each takes a limited number of drops, so full windows are greyed out.
- What: anything the Leeds counter has on the shelf, including the heavy and bulky lines a courier won't take. The van carries the whole order, so everything in the basket needs to be in stock at Leeds; if it isn't, choose a courier option or collect instead.
- Cost: £12 a drop, and free on orders of £150 or more.
- On the day: the driver rings 30 minutes before arriving. Someone needs to be on site to sign for it.
Need it sooner? Click & collect from the Leeds counter is usually ready in two hours.
Trying it on this demo
Halden is a demo shop: nothing is delivered and no card is charged. To see a booked van slot at checkout:
- Add a few things the Leeds counter stocks, such as Pozi countersunk wood screws, 4.5 x 50mm, M10 x 80mm zinc hex bolts or silver duct tape. Keep quantities small: the counter holds 10 to 15 of each.
- Go to checkout and enter a delivery address with a Leeds postcode, for example LS1 4DY. Any postcode starting LS works; anywhere else won't be offered the van.
- Choose Halden van from Leeds, then pick a day and a window. Try a day later in the week to see the strip of days and the windows that are already full.
- Pay with the Stripe test card 4242 4242 4242 4242, any future expiry date and any CVC.
The booked window shows on the order confirmation and on the order in the admin (Orders), and it counts against that window's capacity.
